Blue Lotus Oil

The Blue Lotus flower (Nymphaea Caerulea) is renowned for spiritual growth and illumination, purification, rebirth, love and sensual beauty. And even the unification of polarities and embodiment of the four elements. Its unfolding petals suggest the expansion of the soul. Blue Lotus has soothing, calming and uplifting effects on the (energy)body.

The sacred flower attunes us to the higher (spiritual) mind, by opening the crown and third eye chakras, elevating consciousness and aiding one in attaining visions through deep meditation.

In ancient Egypt, the Blue Lotus  grew as a Water Lilly on the banks of the Nile and was regarded as sacred. It had deep reverence by the ancient Egyptians for its medicinal and spiritual qualities.

Blue lotus was worshipped as a symbol of the origins of life, as it grows with its roots deep in the mud of the riverbed. The lotus is a flower is a symbol of of transformation, turning negative into positive, and of “rising up from the muck of one’s life.”

Long regarded as a symbol of the sun, the flower closes at night when the sun god Ra retreats and rises, to open in the morning light.

Blue Lotus was used as an initiatory sacrament invoked and applied in ceremonial and temple rituals for the elevation of spirit, the attainment of higher states of consciousness and connection with the Divine.
